Reality is hard, and it doesn’t always make sense. It is human nature to create narratives around the events in our lives and a way to create (or pretend to create) order and reason. Retelling these stories is how I participate with my children in their playful and whimsical escapism and disassociation. The work is about storytelling, but the story itself doesn’t matter.
